BioMmm…I hate writing bio/introduction information. It always makes me feel like I’m signing up for a weird dating service so while not a bio here’s 25 Things You Might Not Know About Me:
1. I’m tall. I guess you’ve noticed this if you’ve met me since I always wear my heels which put me at 6 feet tall.
2. The only color I haven’t died my hair is green, mostly because I think I’d look like I was washed up on the shore of some deserted beach.
3. I live in the past constantly. In my world, most of the time it’s 1972 because that’s the Jimmy Page I love.
4. I love 1972 Jimmy Page.
5. I have a disturbing amount of knowledge about classic rock and basically all ‘classic’ music but an equally disturbing lack of knowledge about pop music.
6. Occasionally, I make friends with fictional characters from TV, movies and books.
7. I consider bad weather to be a personal affront against me and my friend the sun.
8. I love the mountains but I don’t ski, despite being a native Coloradoan.
9. I make self deprecation an art from or at least a hobby.
10. I have a sensitivity to whey. For some reason, I get cravings for cheese, give in and once I’m sick I post about how I should know better. Clearly, I never learn.
11. I can’t spell. Without spell check most people would think I only had a second grade education.
12. I love to read. My goal for 2009 is to read a book a week.
13. I’m in grad school and have discovered the more I learn, the less I know and the more I forget how to work my coffee maker.
14. I often make light of my chemical dependency on caffeine.
15. Periodically, I give up drinking… usually when I don’t spend so much time with my friends which has led me to the conclusion that my friends are alcoholics and I like to have a empathetic liver.
16. I swear in Yiddish all the time which people find quaint rather than the offensive that it usually is.
17. I’m 24 but may secretly be an 84 year old Jewish man considering my reactions to the way kids today dress, the music they listen to, and what’s with all the cell phones?
18. I am actually Jewish and often toy with the idea of becoming Orthodox but am pretty sure I’m not able to be that good.
19. I love Thai food… love it! I’ve been teaching myself to cook it so that I don’t have to move into my favorite Thai restaurant.
20. I want to learn Portuguese. I already speak French and broken Hebrew… oh and of course Navel Linguistics (swearing like a sailor, y’know?”)
21. My favorite punctuation mark is the semicolon.
22. I’m a huge nerd, as shown by the fact that I have favorite punctuation.
23. Oh and I’m a HUGE MST3K fan… just huge.
24. I used to play hockey.
25. I’m reverently addicted to Diet Coke as well.
